Attendee comments:

Dear Sir,

I was involved with your Webinar yesterday.  Thank you greatly for the information.  I was very excited to hear what you said and it put the “fight” back in to me.  I have been in practice for 21 years and the last 2 have not been as much fun as the first 19.

Chiropractic Webinar Series

Series Focus: Dealing with Payor Issues-

Helping Chiropractors Understand and Implement Healthcare Law to be Paid Properly for Services Rendered.

This complimentary four-part seminar series deals with major payor issues:

  1. Beating the Bundling Epidemic – Fighting Back

  2. Solve the issues of Medical Necessity - Stop Being Victimized

  3. Pay Back Request – Do you really owe it back?

  4. Limitation of Benefits – Can you access more?

Why Chiropractors and their staff should attend

  • Learn what Payors don’t want you to know. Many Chiropractors have only received advice from Payors – the parties working against them!
  • This seminar series will train you and your staff how to incorporate Law from the AMA into your practice so you can stand up for your rights with confidence.
  • Each seminar will leave you with easy to use actionable steps for dealing with Payor issues.
  • You’ll spend less time dealing with Payors and be paid properly for all services.
  • It's complimentary, and convenient online sessions are only an hour long.

1. Beating the Bundling Epidemic – Fighting Back

You provide a service and bill the insurance carrier, only to receive an Explanation of Benefits showing that the Payor has bundled procedures and paid you less than you are due.  What do you do?  Most Chiropractors will try to question the Payor’s bundling decision but are told of NCCI Edits or that the service is not covered under this policy. The result is that the Chiropractor typically loses.

Join ACOM Consulting for a one hour webinar to learn how to use the law to deal with the bundling of procedures..  The webinar will include a review of what codes mean and how to properly use Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) to fight the battle for you.  You provided the service; it is covered under the plan, YOU DESERVE TO GET PAID.  Come and find out how!

You will fight back with confidence and done right, you’ll spend less time dealing with Payors while being paid properly for services rendered.

2. Solve the issues of Medical Necessity - Stop Being Victimized

It is no secret the insurance market has tightened and that chiropractic has taken a huge hit. Unfortunately many chiropractors have no idea what to do because of little education in managing insurance coding and billing.  Join ACOM Consulting for a one hour webinar to learn how to establish Medical Necessity – a major struggle for many chiropractors.

In this one hour class you will learn what medical necessity really means and how you document to prove medical necessity.

3. Pay Back Request – Do you really owe it back?

A major issue facing the chiropractic profession is Pay Back Requests.  Doctors across the country are receiving letters from insurance carriers saying that the care provided was not medically necessary and demanding a refund.  What do you do?  Chiropractors typically hire an attorney and try to fight it.  However most doctors and a majority of attorneys do not understand the healthcare law as it pertains to medical necessity and as a result, they fight Pay Back Requests the wrong way.  Typically the Doctor and attorney will negotiate to reduce the amount demanded.  This is a short term gain but a long term loss.  By negotiating a settlement the Chiropractor has admitted part of a service was not needed, and the Payor may use this knowledge to review the doctor on future payments.

Join ACOM Consulting for a one hour webinar to learn how to deal with Pay Back Request.  During the Webinar we will discuss what draws an audit, what Payors are looking for, and how to deal with the Pay Back letters when they arrive.

4. Limitation of Benefits – Can you access more?

The majority of Chiropractic offices try to verify chiropractic insurance benefits before service but most are unknowingly performing only half the job.  Understanding how to properly verify benefits has multiple effects on your practice, including: ensuring you are paid the maximum you are ethically entitled to, more coverage for the patient, and the ability to fight back if the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) does not coincide with the benefits package.

Join ACOM Consulting for a step by step process to proper insurance verification.  During the webinar we will talk about the right and wrong questions to ask during the Insurance verification interview and how to get the right information the first time.

The Healthcare Business Division of  ACOM, in cooperation with HCB Consulting is pleased to provide this unique opportunity to learn from one of the leading members of the chiropractic community.
