Florida Chiropractic Association Elevates RAPID EMR Chiropractic
Software Solution to “Recommended” Status in Membership Benefits Program
ORLANDO, Florida, August 14, 2007 -- The board of directors of the Florida Chiropractic Association (FCA) has elevated the status of ACOM’s RAPID EMR clinical documentation and reporting solution to that of a “Recommended” solution within the FCA Membership Benefit Program, it was announced today by CEO Debra Brown and ACOM Vice President Gregory T. Church.
RAPID EMR is the only chiropractic documentation and reporting solution to be included in the FCA Membership Benefit Program at this time and one of only eight products overall to be so designated by the association.
RAPID EMR has been a Recognized product in the FCA program since early 2006, and it has earned a high degree of acceptance among association members. FCA is the largest state chiropractic association in the country, with more than 4,000 members.
“RAPID earned its Recommended status by demonstrating the value of its product for doctors and patients through a verifiable track record as a Recognized product within our membership benefits programs,” Brown said. “ACOM has been an active supporter of our association and we are pleased to have a relationship with such an innovative and responsible company.”
RAPID EMR is an extensively featured solution that supports chiropractors in the diagnosis and documentation of problems and treatments, building electronic patient files in a sophisticated, intelligent database. Custom reports (typically a drawn-out process involving extensive analysis of notes), dictation and transcription, can be accomplished in minutes with the press of a few computer keys, and reports are assembled and generated automatically directly from the electronic patient file.
“Our relationship with the Florida Chiropractic Association has been highly positive and productive and we plan to build on our experience with this group to reach chiropractors in other areas of the country and in Canada as well,” Church said. “It is beyond question that automation can be a survival tool for chiropractors, who often face a struggle to be paid fairly for the services they perform and to contain consistently rising operating expenses. ACOM’s Healthcare Business Division is committed to providing solutions that answer these doctors’ needs both in the clinical and business aspects of their work.”
ACOM markets its products to association members directly and through such events as the FCA National Convention and Expo. FCA members who query the association’s membership benefits staff are referred to ACOM EMR for product information and demonstrations. ACOM provides substantial discounts to members referred by the association and also compensates FCA on sales made through its referrals. These funds are in turn channeled into support of new and ongoing FCA programs.
