ACOM Healthcare Business Consulting Group’s Bharon Hoag Expands Speaking Schedule; Includes Three Appearances at Florida Chiropractic Association Events

MT. VERNON, Ohio, April 9, 2008 – Bharon Hoag, one of the most in-demand speakers in the chiropractic field, has released his upcoming speaking schedule, which includes three presentations at Florida Chiropractic Association events in 2008, it was announced today by Gregory T. Church, vice president and general manager of the ACOM Healthcare Business Division.

All of Hoag’s presentations deal with the increasingly vital impact of proper coding and documentation in chiropractor success. In his seminar appearances as in his chiropractic consulting engagements, he focuses on the challenges chiropractors face in getting paid fully and fairly, offering illustrations of ways in which they can increase their per-patient visit income while still carefully observing the letter of the code.

“There is no issue facing chiropractors today more important than that of improving their coding and documentation practices,” Hoag said. “It can literally mean the difference between mere survival and serious prosperity.”

“Too often, doctors fail to bill properly because they do not have an adequate understanding of the codes or because they fear the prospect of an audit,” Hoag said. “In both instances, they unnecessarily cheat themselves out of significant amounts of revenue. A little guidance and study of the ChiroCode and AMA CPT books can clear up the first problem quickly. Once that is done, doctors need no longer fear audits; they can be confident that with their documentation based firmly on facts, their charges are far less likely to be contested.”
“When doctors support their claims with precise, unarguable facts based on strict interpretation and application of the CPT codes, they will win every challenge, and the challenges will be very few.”
